CELEBRATING DIVORCE

So it didn't work out how you had planned, but making the decision to separate takes courage! 

Celebrating your successes during marriage, your efforts that may not have quite made the distance, as well as your new chapter are all worthy of candidness, humanity, laughing, tears and support from your friends and family.

Divorce ceremonies can also be one-sided and poignant, but they are about truth and freedom. This means they can be as creative as you like. Your celebrant will guide you but all the decisions you want to make, are there for you to make.

If children are involved in the celebration, special care needs to be taken to appropriately involve them as well as design a mutual space. 

Although divorces themselves can be submitted to court by either or both parties of the marriage, it is important to get free legal advice as well as counselling for your children to assist them with the transition. More resources are below.
